Stripe Walking Dress has been selected as one of our next projects. The 3 piece dress as well as the hat and purse will be constructed of SILK ORGANZA & TAFFETA .

The hat will be built on a hand made buckram and wire frame and decorated with 2 green taffeta Dior Rose. Matching purse with contrasting corded piping trim completes the ensemble.
This fashion plate is from the September 1866 Godey's Ladies Book. Look closely at the red & white strip dress for the inspiration for this version. Note the green bolero jacket behind it which was used for this dress and the stripe bodice at the far left which shows up as the Red & White Christmas dress.
The
gown requires a medium size heavy duty 6 wire hoop slip.
